Ishaan Khatter has been in the news of late. The young actor is supposed to be doing the remake of Bunty And Babli and a Ram Madhvani film with brother Shahid Kapoor as well. Here is some fresh piece of news about Ishaan’s future projects. It seems he will star in Bharat director Ali Abbas Zafar’s maiden production venture. Ishaan Khatteropted out of Vishad Bhardwaj’s adaptation of Salman Rushdie’s Midnight’s Children but has reportedly agreed for Ali’s film. A source told Mumbai Mirror, “Ishaan and Ali have been discussing the film for a while and things have now fallen into place. It’s a love-story and is expected to go on the floors by the year-end.” It seems the film will be the first directorial venture of one of Ali Abbas Zafar’s assistant directors.

The source further informed Mumbai Mirror, “Ali loves the script and believes it’s the ideal subject to turn producer. Being a writer himself, he has been involved throughout the scripting process.” It seems the film is based completely in Mumbai and will be shot in one straight schedule. “The team is currently scouting for a young A-lister opposite Ishaan. The cast will be locked in a fortnight,” the source told the paper.

Ishaan made his debut in April 2018 with much-acclaimed Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi’s Beyond The Clouds. His performance made everyone sit up and take notice. It was followed by Dhadak with Janhvi Kapoor, the Hindi remake of Sairat, the Marathi blockbuster. He is hailed as one of the brightest young talents in Bollywood. Ali Abbas Zafar is enjoying a break in his hometown, Dehradun. He is currently working on a number of scripts, one of them being the third sequel of the Tiger franchise. He had earlier told Mumbai Mirror, “As soon as it is ready, I will share it with SK… There is always pressure working with Salman, and when you do a franchise, it just multiples. It is essential to write a bigger and better story.”
